Dannok

Last week, a whole bunch of friends including myself, went back to Perlis to attend a good friend’s wedding. Started our journey at 11pm and when we got to Ipoh, it was almost one sumthing in the morning. Wanted some Nga Choi Kai, but didn’t managed as its closed :( Too bad? Not really because we found a new restaurant which is just around the corner and the food was awesome! *SedapHinggaMenjilatPinggan*

Octopus with sorta Satay-like sauce. *Rrrrrrrrr*

There was another Hor Fun we ordered the second time and Yee Mee. Guess who finished it? *WhistleAway*

Got Nga Choi, no Kai (chicken) =((

Will do the wedding post soon ;)

We have arrived at Dannok, Thailand. Took us 35mins to get there from Perlis.

Thailand post bags.

Somtam stalls close by to a club called Paragon.

image(86)

We girls walk about and shop around while the boys went for their massages.

image(88)

After some walks and bumping into a friend who lives there, he got us a van from the Waterview Restaurant for some makan~

image(87)

I had this restaurant post before. But this one is in Dannok and not at Padang Besar border. They have a few branches in Southern Thailand.

image(89)

There were many dishes and this is the only dish no one has agreed to order. I ‘merajuk’ and ‘muncung mulut’ like a kid. But they’d only agree to order when my local friend kept saying this is awesome. But then he left due to his works, (thank goodness for my friend’s girlfriend – she and I finished it! ;D

Oh. Yes. This is raw prawns. VERY FRESH ONES! *nyumms!*

The view~

After we’re done, A tut-tut come pick us up to the town. It’s only around 5-6mins ride. Tut-tut driver drives aggressively as if he is drifting.

Then, its almost 630pm. Look at the cue to Thailand. And the night begins in Dannok, Thailand ;) As we leave for home-cooked-food ;)

the Kitchen

I believe kitchen is the heart to a restaurant. Do you agree?

It was fun with lots of smiles although the kitchen is crowded with chefs and lots of food to be served. I could never imagine myself being in the kitchen multi-tasking. Not saying I can’t multi-task, but dealing with the food and probably culinary is just not me. I would be so ‘kelam-kabut’. Although it’s I see the kitchen is full people making art. ;p Food Art?

But foremost, my heart was racing when the owner himself brought me to the kitchen and let me stand right in the middle of the kitchen and watch them cook and taking pictures of food they’re about to serve. It’s priceless.

*think you can see how my heart’s racing and excited from my expression?*

That’s Ravioli he’s making there. Last touch up I believe ;)

What I admire most, is the smiles and laughter they created in the kitchen. So it’s total opposite from Hell’s kitchen. I believe, with positive energies in the kitchen, you create good food ;)

The place is called Nero Vivo by the way. I’ve been there the last time when me mom knows the ex-owner. Now I know the current owner. #lol Haven’t been there since few years ago, #nokidyou , I like the place better now. Go check it out if you feel like awesome Italian food ;)

Ciao,

It’s the first time we celebrate new year by the city. It’s our ‘new-found’ home.

Blue eye-shadows and lashes.

This, my new Tomato color for the room. It says tomato themed, but it looks pretty in pink to me. But who cares, I like it. That’s grandma’s feet btw. She is sleeping with me <3

3

Sang Har Mee! The best around Cheras! Ask me and I’ll bring you ;)

1

And the best WaTanHor I had ever had! The restaurant is called “Mou Meng” (in Cantonese), straight translation it says “No Name” Restaurant. The food is worth the wait! When it’s too packed, it’s within an hour wait! And people actually waited!! O.O

My dress during day time~ It’ll surprise you how much this dress cost since it’s hung too long in the Thailand shop.

RM10. #nojoke

Have a great day ahead~ Heading home today and coming by by the weekend for some night catch-ups with some friends and good cocktails.

P/s: At night, I brought my uncle for some karaoke session and it was great singing oldies =)

Tune-in,
